The Richmond Hotel, located on Labourdonnais street towards the South Boulevard in the quiet French Quarter of Pondicherry, is a part of The Residency Group of Hotels. It is about 200m away from the beach. It has 14 centrally air conditioned rooms. They are all equipped with comfortable bed, spacious wardrobes, mini bar, tea/coffee station, digital safes, modern bath etc.. Framed acrylics of the heritage building grace the walls. The usage of wood, bamboo and cane give an elegant look to its ambiance. Even the wooden beam deli lings and doors are inlaid with wonderful cane work. The lobby leads to an inviting well stocked bar and multi-cuisine restaurant called Bistro. The tariff is inclusive of breakfast and internet connection.

The building is a representative of the traditional Indo - French architecture painted in the traditional yellow- white combination. Thus it is considered as a heritage building.

History

"The Residency Group of Hotels" joined the hotel industry in 1991. Presently, it has properties in Chennai, Coimbatore, Karur and Pondicherry.
