Le théâtre des Asphodèles:
The Drama Company "Theatre des Asphodeles" was created in 1992 and specializes in "Commedia dell'Arte" theatre. Today, it employs nearly 25 people, with very diverse backgrounds and nationalities and performs in France as well as internationally.
Asphodeles also conducts weekly workshops on Commedia dell'Arte, drama, as well as on circus, African dancing, etc.
The main characteristics of Asphodeles are probably its international dimension (an Italian director, foreign actors, bilingual administrative staff, performances abroad...) and the importance it puts on conducting training and workshops.
Stephane Lam : actor-educator
Stephane Lam specializes in living theatre performance, as well as cinema and TV. He worked for several drama companies as well as for a number of movie directors. He joined Asphodeles in 1999 and now takes part in all their performances.
He also regularly takes part in "la caravane des 10 mots", a touring workshop/performance activity around French language, targeting foreign students of French. "La caravane des 10 mots" took Stephane to France, Romania, China, Italia and Lituania and allows him to put into practice his skills in living theatre with a variety of people.
