Save India's Coast - NDTV program

As can be seen on old postcards, Pondicherry used to have a sand beach. Today, it is replaced by granit rocks all along the Beach road, placed here to avoid further erosion.  The topic has been an animated debate for the last few years : should the beach be restaured ? Is it possible ? What are the ecological aspects and are the difficulties technical or rather political ?

NDTV channel has recently come to Pondicherry and organized an open meeting with different parties who take part in the project : Government, Port, Pondycan association...here is the video to understand a bit better the situation around this interesting question.
