The Shop

La Pasta - Italian Food is the first  Italian gastronomy in Pondicherry and their motto is "Food for passion". They offer a wide range of Italian products made from fresh ingredients, based on  ancient Italian homemade recipes. Fresh pasta, Ravioli, Agnolotti, Panzarotti, Lasagna, Egg Pasta...and many more. On 23/10/2011 this small Italian family business introduced a cosy restaurant on its 1st floor. It is really unique in Pondicherry as it the family who is cooking, serving, cleaning and washing. On the 16/11/2011 it organised an event of baked pasta.
4 dishes of non-veg and 4 dishes of veg just in Rs95 :-) so that many could taste the real Italian cuisine. Being a vegetarian I tried the 4 veg dishes namely 1.White Lassagne, 2.Veg Lassagne 3.Caunelloni (a preparation of mushroom and ricotta cheese),4.Guocchi Guatinati. Although all were mouth-watering I prefered Caunelloni. The stomach was full but the tongue carved for more.:P The restaurant was filled with Indians and Europeans.... young and old... I found that each one shared my experience... The purpose of the event was accomplished.... reach out to many at an economical price... Good work Riccardo & Elena... hope you have many such events in future... chao
