The Shop
Sri Vijaya Ganapathy is a cost price shop. It is a 2 storied spacious, with centralized A/c, self service super market near the West Boulevard of Pondicherry. One can find here ready to eat and ready to cook food stuff, house hold utilitarian items, toys & games for children, beauty care products, artificial jewellery, gift items for all occasions and many other things of utility and interest as there are about 30000 things on display all sourced from local, national and international brands. Sri Vijaya Ganapathy has launched many food products under its own name. Here each item is invoiced at cost price. It also undertakes orders for parties and functions. The staff speaks Tamil and English.
Ground Floor
The shelves on the ground floor are stacked with grains, pulses, dry fruits, flours, cooking oil of various brands, spices, pickles, instant mix for cooking, frozen food, aerated / health / diet drinks, ice creams from Kwality Walls, sweets, savories, chocolates, tea, coffee etc. packed in different quantities. House hold cleaning aids & agents, detergents for various usage, bathing / cleaning soaps, tooth pastes and brushes, shampoos, hair oils, and other home & body care products, incenses, etc. in herbal, organic and non organic compositions are a few of the main categories of various brands.
1st Floor
Plenty of products of different brands- local, national and international- on display on this floor. To name some are yoga/asana mats, carpet, home footwear, crockery, glassware, kitchenware, tableware, microwave ware, microware earthen ware, toiletries, baby products, toys & games for all age groups, home décor, health travel kit, keep fresh containers, products for party celebration, musical candles, pet food for cat & dogs, stationeries such as paints, colours, papers & paper products, reading materials, ever changing gift items etc.. Beauty brands like Lakme, Ponds, Banjara’s, Tips & Toes, Revelon, Ayur Herbal, Himalaya have their corners as well. A big area is dedicated to artificial jewellery and other beauty accessories.

History:
The family is into grocery business since many generations in Tamilnadu. In 1979, a member of the family started the business in Pondicherry. In 2006, it shifted to its present multi storied premises.
Open from 9am to 9pm.
Closed on Tuesdays.
